So for my first blog ever, I decided to blog on a review a sim that I've been playing on for the last few months. It's a Game of Thrones sim- The Iron Throne.

The Iron Throne is set in the year 210. A disease called the Spring Sickness of 209 has wiped out the Targareyans, killing off the previous royals. After a stay in an encampment, waiting for the sickness to "die out", (excuse the pun), they (players) have returned to King's Landing. On the throne is Tyran Lannister and his wife Ariella Lannister nee Tully. More lore information here.

On my first day on the sim, I was immediately struck with how nice everything looked, even though I was there for the first time during the encampment period. Everywhere were tents for the houses. The the middle was an inn, with a market and stables outside. Of course, I IMed some admin to see which houses were still in need of people. My choice was to play a Tully. My experience with the admin at countless other sims have often left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I have never felt like that here, even months later. Usually because some god complex or another comes to light fairly quickly. The application process is smooth. There were a couple things wrong with my app the first time around, due to things going on in story that I couldn't have known. So the app handler sent me a message and helped me fine tune my app. After that, it went smoothly. As I started RPing, it was immediately clear that the bulk of the players on the sim knew what they were doing. The challenge of matching wits and growing yourself in RP is refreshing. The only downside I can see come more from being a female character playing in a world ruled by men. Growing your story is possible and encouraged. Around every corner is someone willing to help you meet your goals.

My recommendation? Visit the sim, observe some awesome RP. Don't be afraid to IM anyone with questions.

I hope you find the RP of your dreams!
